Amanda and her children lived in constant fear after suffering years of physical and emotional abuse. In fact, her husband threatened to kill her and their children if she ever told anyone or tried to leave.
That fear immobilized Amanda for a very long time, but one day she found the courage to reach out to Safe Haven for help.
Today, Amanda and her children are not only safe, they are thriving. They now have their own apartment, are living free from fear, and Amanada is taking college classes to help her realize her dream for the future. In a recent email to Safe Haven staff, Amanda writes, "We thank God each day for sending us help."
