Programs and Services

Safe Haven Ministries offers comprehensive domestic violence services to women and their children as well as education and prevention programs for the entire community. In addition, we have been applauded by the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence for our work in addressing the faith-based concerns of our clients. Motivated by Christ’s love, our mission is to end domestic abuse.

Safe Haven works from an empowerment model and offers three programs designed to end domestic abuse:

Emergency Shelter

Ramoth House is a 30-day confidential emergency shelter offering domestic violence support services for women and their children. Our shelter has eight rooms, is wheelchair-accessible, and can accommodate a family with a teenage son. Find out more ›

Non-Residential Domestic Abuse Services

The Protective Hands program is designed for women and children who may not need shelter or who have left shelter and require domestic abuse support and services. Trained Family Advocates work with women on safety planning, support groups, case management, legal advocacy, and individual counseling. Protective Hands also offers trauma-intervention groups for children who have been exposed to domestic abuse. Find out more ›

Prevention and Education Services

It is not enough to treat the symptoms of domestic abuse - we must find ways to stop the problem before it begins. Raise Hope, Safe Haven’s education and prevention program, is designed to raise awareness in our community about the problem of domestic violence and how we can put an end to it. This program also dramatically increases assistance to abused women and children by educating others to recognize signs of abuse and to respond appropriately. Find out more ›
